This week @ sangha I'll be giving a talk on 'intention'. We actually touched on this last week in relation to it being one meaning of 'karma'. It's also one of the 8 folds of the eight-fold path and that's the context for it this week.
Also, you will have heard us mention many times, the fabulous work of Rick Hanson, usually in the context of his book 'The Buddha's Brain: The Practical Neuroscience of Happiness, Love and Wisdom'. He'll be in Australia in January and is offering a 3 day workshop. It'll be focused on 'taking in the good' which we've spoken of before - that is, breaking down our natural negativity bias which makes us 'teflon for the good and velcro for the bad'.
